// terms of use
Effective 8 Oct 2026
This is a draft for review by a lawyer, not legal advice. Have counsel review before paid plans launch.
By installing or using the CodeRa Chrome extension or the website codera.click (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
CodeRa helps you extract text or code that is already visible on your screen, including video frames, using AI vision. Features, limits and availability can change. Early access may be free.
You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and at least 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If you use CodeRa for an organization, you confirm you may do so on its behalf.
You alone are responsible for the content you capture and for complying with the terms of service and copyright rules of YouTube, Udemy, Coursera, Skillshare, Zoom and any other site or course. Use extracts for personal learning unless you have the rights to do otherwise. Do not redistribute course materials. Do not capture content you have no right to copy.
You agree not to: (a) abuse, overload or attempt to bypass limits of the CodeRa relay or website; (b) use the Service to circumvent DRM or access controls; (c) send unlawful content or personal data you have no right to process; (d) reverse engineer the Service except where the law allows; (e) use automated means to call the relay other than through the extension; (f) resell the Service or its output as a service without our written consent.
Captured images and related prompts are processed through the CodeRa relay by Anthropic’s API under Anthropic’s terms and policies. AI output can be wrong. Accuracy is not guaranteed, and DRM-protected or blocked frames may fail. Always review, run and test extracted code before relying on it. Do not capture secrets such as passwords, tokens or private keys. Review the Privacy Policy before sending sensitive material.
The Service may be free during early access, with fair-use limits. When paid plans launch, pricing, quotas, billing and refund rules will be published on this page and in the Chrome Web Store listing before any charge is made.
CodeRa, its name, logo, website and software belong to the developer or its licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the extension for personal or internal use. You keep your rights in the content you capture and the output you receive, subject to the rights of third parties.
The Service works with Anthropic, your browser, video platforms and optional export targets such as GitLab, Notion, Obsidian and Anki. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and uninterrupted operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or business, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or EUR 50 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your mandatory consumer rights. A lawyer should confirm wording for your jurisdiction.
You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or abuse the Service.
If you are a rights holder and believe content is being handled in a way that infringes your rights, write to hello@codera.click with the details. CodeRa does not host a library of captured content.
We may update these Terms. The effective date above will change, and continued use after an update means you accept it. We will announce material changes on the site or in the changelog.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the developer’s place of business, without affecting mandatory consumer protection in your country of residence. Exact governing law and courts will be confirmed with counsel.
